Maintenance Operations & BD Manager

Position Summary:


Responsible for the business development, operation and administration of Insulation, Scaffolding, and paint projects including all equipment, materials and personnel located within the plant to ensure safe and efficient startup and production to achieve performance and contractual objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Directs the development and implementation of a comprehensive management and operational plan ffor the startup of projects through performance test and plant acceptance.
  • Determines the organizational requirements and manpower to meet the above objectives for the project.
  • Develops project schedules working closely with the project scheduler.
  • Develops cost estimates for scope of work.
  • Directs the start-up, operation, maintenance, shutdown and emergency procedures during the course of project execution.  As a part of these activities, directs all subcontractor personnel assigned to the group.  Also, directs all client personnel assigned to work under his supervision until plant acceptance.
  • Interfaces with Project Management, Engineering, Construction and the Client, as required.
  • Manages the development and implementation of the training program for all employees under his supervision and for Client personnel.
  • Interfaces with all local agencies, as needed, to facilitate all required approvals and in ensuring the smooth and the successful project close.
  • Implements procedures to ensure the overall safety of the Facility and its personnel.
  • During the home office phase of the project, leads/participates in model reviews, HAZOP reviews, SIL Reviews, etc., and leads the development of operating manuals.
  • Provides input to the “lesson learned” database.
  • Leads developmental activities as assigned by the Director or General Manager.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ISP (Insulation, Scaffolding and Paint) within a heavy industrial industry 
  • Must have at least 3 years of management experience.
  • Prior business development experience in related industry. 
  • Should preferably possess a B.S. or M.S. degree in construction management, project management, or engineering degree in mechanical, electrical or civil.
