Lean Program Manager 

 

Location: Deer Park, Texas

Position Summary

 

Lead the delivery of business improvement initiative to the program, enabling improvements in customer and business value. Responsible for leading and executing Lean Six Sigma initiatives by engaging with operations leadership across the company to identify and scope Lean-related business challenges, conduct fact-based analyses and problem solving, and develop actionable recommendations to drive business impact through improvements in cost, customer experience, and demand management.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the identification and delivery of large business improvement projects through the application of Lean Six Sigma and project management tools.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses (when required), including data collection, data analyses, and synthesis of data to generate key insights for projects or Lean deployment strategies
  • Develop presentations for executive leadership to facilitate discussions on project or program progress, results and assistance needed from them
  • Assist with the definition of potential projects to support the future growth of the business by identifying, quantifying and comparing potential projects, and playing an active role in the prioritization process.
  • Secure the appropriate business sponsorship for allocated improvement projects.
  • Actively identify potential risks & issues relating to the delivery of projects and manage a resolution process in a timely manner, only escalating major issues.
  • Work with business functions to develop and implement techniques to gather data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Provide training, mentoring and guidance to others in the business in the use of Continuous Improvement tools.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma or related continuous improvement areas
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (e.g., green belt, black belt, master black belt, or other)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business.  MBA (preferred).
  • Experience in managing Lean Six Sigma program and driving results
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to communication with all levels of staff, management, and senior leadership
  • Highly motivated to take ownership and drive initiatives with minimal direction
