Senior HSEQ Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Safety plus a minimumof five years related experience with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor or aminimum of nine years related experience in safety inspections and implementation of safetyplans
•Extensive experience in safety inspections and implementation of safety plans
•Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and management skills
•Ability to instruct front line supervisors in the details of the work they perform (by enforcement)to improve safety performance
•Ability to train and mentor others in project safety as required
•Ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines
•Ability to make independent judgments to manage and facilitate company programs/policies asthey relate to the safety of our work
•Authorized OSHA outreach trainer for construction industry
•Red Cross or equivalent, First Aid, Adult CPR, And AED instruction
•EM385-1-1 40 Hour Construction Hazard Awareness Couse for Contractors


Scope of Responsibility:


Primarily responsible for overseeing and administering the site(s) Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) Programs for all projects at site locations. Interacts with all levels of management and acts as primary contact for all project safety issues for multiple projects.


Position Duties:

•Implement and administer site HSEQ Program to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel at the job sites

•Hold weekly (or more often as appropriate) project safety meetings and document attendance

•Hold weekly toolbox meetings. Maintain a library of subcontractor company safety plans and MSDS forms and assist the subcontractor partners with the safety requirement submissions

•Conduct project safety inspections weekly or more often as needed using the appropriate inspection format
•Maintain communications with project staff to ensure proper project safety compliance

•Responsible for timely reporting of all safety incidents in accordance with Centennial policies

•Review and approve Activity Hazard Analysis for the work on all projects

•Enforce the Discipline Policy as identified in the Safety and Health Manual

•Establish and maintain effective communications with the owner’s safety personnel

•Attend customer’s safety meetings as needed

•Maintain liaison with outside organization to assure information exchange and mutual assistance

•Develop and maintain communications with project staff to ensure proper project safety

•Assist and support the Project HSEQ Officers with the fulfillment of their duties

•Attend all preparatory meetings and assist Corporate HSEQ Manager on all jobs that may have higher elements of safety concern such as work requiring fall protection, work in deep excavations, confined space, blasting, work with hazardous materials or as requested

•Conduct accident investigations, generate incident report, take photographs, obtain necessary items on site, and maintain the appropriate records. Assist in determining the actions required to eliminate the recurrence of similar incident. Forward all incident report documents to your Corporate HSEQ Manager

•Maintain communications with the Corporate HSEQ Director and Corporate HSEQ Managers and report on safety violations and safety practices

•Work with Corporate HSEQ Director and Corporate HSEQ Managers in updating safety requirements and in providing training for site personnel

•Assist the Corporate HSEQ Director and Corporate HSEQ Managers with their onsite safety visits and inspections

•Conduct follow up inspections for items identified by the Corporate HSEQ Director and Corporate HSEQ Managers requiring corrective action to ensure timely completion of action items
