Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description:
- Monitor and report on effectiveness of the quality assurance and quality management system and to make recommendations for improvements as appropriate and ensure project activities comply with relevant procedures and QA requirements
- Liaise closely with the Quality Department in Dortmund, Germany to maintain the following;
- Operational work procedures
- Inspection procedures
- Prepare and manage good report lines for LTRQ’s
- Follow-Up Documents (Inspection and Test Plans)
- Review LOD’s with QM and PM to ensure the LoD meets the project expectations
- Management of on-site NCR and concession process internal and external
- Ensure all quality procedures and documentation is transmitted to and approved by Clients representative
- Identify, engage and manage a number of inspection personnel to carry out the inspection functions
- Work very closely with QC-Lead and NDT providers in developing and approving processes and procedures
- Implement a robust partitioning strategy for the completion of EOMR’s and LTRQ’s
- Review and approve quality reports, example ITP’s, FUD’s and EOMR’s
- Handling of observation notes
- Follow and proof of Intervention points
- Surveillance of Welding Works
- Weld tracking and recording within Piping-Manager
- Follow and proof of Intervention points
- Set and proof QRA welding reports
- Surveillance of Welding Works
- Weld tracking and recording within Piping-Manager
- Set NDE testing percentage, defined by table SNDE within welding data package.
- Review and approve vendor/supplier quality plans and inspection and test plans to ensure they are compliant with BPT UK and Client quality requirements.
- Monitor vendor/supplier performance and feedback to ensure high levels of Client satisfaction.
- Liaison with the Procurement function regarding material specification and lead time
- Liaise with Client and 3rd Party Inspectors and manage their attendance at the new facility
- Develop and implement the audit and inspection programme for the facility
- Recognising talent and lead the continuous learning and development environment.
- Provide Quality-training support to the project team (Continuous basis).
- Ensure avoidance of CFSI (Counterfeit, Fraudulent, Suspect Items) entering and being used during fabrication.
