  • Facilitation of growth: Development of strategic approaches to large scale opportunities and facilitation of professional Account and Key Account Management as well as driving the Sustainable Industrial Services offering in Bilfinger.
  • Improvement of margin: Further development of Bilfinger Service products, support in the standardization of processes, improvement of existing contracts and support in the implementation of new contracts by delivering tools and methods. Capitalizing on innovation: Practical guidance for all Bilfinger innovation initiatives and support the developing and implementing use cases and as well as business cases.
  • Digitalization: Evaluate and integrate digital solutions and products into Bilfinger's global core offering and commercialize ideas.

We offer you an exciting 24-month program consisting of a variety of positions and hands-on work experience as well as attention to your personal growth through ongoing mentoring and networking as well as training opportunities.


It is important to us within the trainee program match your interests, strengths and areas of development. In addition to various tasks in Global Development, you have the opportunity to gain insights into practical projects and turnarounds. Other possible rotations are HSEQ, Finance or Project Controlling - it's up to you! By the end of the program, you will be ready to apply your acquired knowledge and take on the challenge of working in a Global Development role at Bilfinger.




  • In various assignments where you will gain insight and experience in navigating the Global Development and related operational areas of our international organization. Potential tasks include:
    • You will use your organizational skills and service orientation to prepare and conduct internal and external customer meetings
    • With your technical knowledge and your first experience, you will impress with the execution of process analyses and planning measures for customers, risk assessments and cost structure analyses
    • You will demonstrate your analytical skills and accuracy in the preparation of presentations on maintenance projects and analyses
    • You use your conceptual skills in the development of maintenance concepts
    • You will participate in trade fairs and conferences as well as in networking activities within the Bilfinger Group
  • An assignment abroad for several months at one of our international locations
  • Mentorship and feedback to ensure your continued development
  • Networking opportunities across business units, regions and with other trainees to build up your organizational knowledge and network

Must have:

  • Master’s degree in a technical study, e.g. engineering, service engineering or equivalent
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral) in both German and English
  • Basic knowledge in project and process management
  • Persuasiveness and assertiveness as well as customer/result-orientation
  • Ability to work under pressure, flexibility and willingness to travel internationally​
  • Advanced analytical skills
