The Bilfinger NEXT LEVEL Trainee Program is a unique opportunity to prepare for a successful career at Bilfinger and provides you with insight into the Global Development and business functions of our international organization. We offer an exciting 24-month program consisting of a variety of positions and hands-on work experience as well as attention to your personal growth through ongoing mentoring and networking and training opportunities. By the end of the program, you will be ready to apply your acquired knowledge and take on the challenge of work in a Global Development function at Bilfinger.



  • 24 months in various assignments where you will gain insight and experience in navigating the Global Development and business functions of our international organization. Potential rotations include:

    • You will use your organizational skills and service orientation to prepare and conduct internal and external customer meetings

    • With your technical knowledge and initial experience, you will shine when performing process analyses and planning measures for customers, risk assessments and cost structure analyses

    • You will demonstrate your analytical skills and accuracy in the preparation of presentations on maintenance projects and analyses in the follow-up phase

    • Your conceptual skills are used in the development of maintenance concepts

    • You will participate in trade fairs and conferences as well as in networking activities within the Bilfinger Group

  • An assignment abroad for several months at one of our international locations

  • Mentorship and feedback to ensure your continued development

  • Networking opportunities across business units, regions and with other trainees to build up your organizational knowledge and network

  • Training opportunities to build upon your professional and technical skills


Must have:

  • Master’s degree in a technical study, e.g. engineering, service engineering or equivalent

  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral) in both German and English

  • Basic knowledge in project and process management

  • Persuasiveness and assertiveness

  • Ability to work under pressure, flexibility and willingness to travel internationally​

  • Advanced analytical skills
