FP&A Manager 

 

Location: The Woodlands

Position Summary:

 

Bilfinger North America Inc. is looking for a detailed oriented self-starter with 7+ years of FP&A experience, preferably in the construction industry. Candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and technical competencies with a solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS and the ability to manage multiple assignments under pressure. The position will prepare Executive Management reports, KPI dashboards, and be a primary connection to our Corporate office located in Germany.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Reviewing the monthly reporting into North America and up to the Parent Company for correctness and completeness.
  • Communicating daily with the Parent Company in Europe, providing explanations regarding budget/forecast variances, risk / opportunities, net liquidity forecast, etc.
  • Preparing accurate monthly Division P&L and Management Reports, including Executive Board presentations.
  • Developing Ad Hoc financial reports for the Division or the subsidiaries as necessary.
  • Performing in-depth financial analysis of balance sheets across all the subsidiaries in North America.
  • Developing annual budget / forecast models.
  • Monthly cash forecasting and reporting of net liquidity.
  • Work with the subsidiaries to improve Working Capital.
  • Review Project P&L reporting on a month basis.  
  • Monitoring the CapEx spend and commitments.
  • Developing and monitoring sales KPIs and analysis of the order pipelines.
  • Harmonize all financial reporting within North America.
  • Assisting with ERP conversions.
  • Participate with affiliate financial team members in establishing appropriate financial thinking and decision support.
  • Participate in developing analysis specific to a business unit.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years’ of accounting experience.
  • Previous FP&A experience with a large multi-national company.
  • Prior construction accounting experience, preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • Advanced degree of skill with Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience developing dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, IBM TM1 Cognos, preferred.
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to develop working relationships with indirect reports spread out across the US and with colleagues in Europe.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
