Reporting directly to Operations Manager, the Fabrice Maintenance Engineer will support the Project Engineers in all aspects of Fabric Maintenance including collating survey information, estimating, planning, reviewing competency requirements, QA/QC and reporting.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

Fabric Maintenance Project Engineer 

  • Manages all aspects of contract fabric maintenance delivery under their control.
  • Liaise with Client and Project Engineers regarding scope and planning.
  • Review timesheet information, cross check against daily reports, update trackers and plan.
  • Complete offshore visits and complete surveys/fabric maintenance audits as required.
  • Monitor and report progress against plan, costs against budget.
  • Complete pre-mob and scope briefings for offshore teams and manage all HR issues that occur.
  • Complete all work packs/method statements/job cards for offshore activities.
  • Maintain and report on Corrosion Damage Report Database and trackers.
  • Stand-in for asset project engineers during absences i.e. holidays.

 

Technical Authority

  • Accountable for providing specialist guidance and advise to Bilfinger personnel on areas surrounding safety, quality and compliance of Blasting/Painting
  • Oversees the quality of the company’s Blasting/Painting capability, ensuring the right balance of sills, training, standard of competency area in place.
  • Monitors discipline standards are maintained across Blasting/Painting and provides technical guidance, advice and supports recruitment/selection of staff.
  • Ensures that the Bilfinger competency framework is compatible with industry best practice and monitors approval/verification assessments.
  • Assesses capability and competency framework of Blasting/Painting subcontractors.
  • Support the implementation of company’s competency management system.
  • Identifies and leads Blasting/Painting capability improvements to support the business strategy
  • Develops, maintains and improves Blasting/Painting documentation within the company’s Business Management System.
  • Ensures any changes in relevant regulations/standards are implemented in the management system and communicated.
  • Identifies and communicates industry best practice to ensure the company is informed in changes in skills and requirements as part of our continual improvement program
  • Actively seeks out and assess technical innovation and practices through personal network and industry seminars.
  • Provide specialist guidance and advise to company personnel and clients on area of Blasting/Painting knowledge and experience.
  • Provides technical expertise/consultancy for Blasting/Painting
  • Conducts routine audits in order to assure company’s compliance of Blasting/Painting
  • Provides specialist guidance and knowledge to support incident investigations.
  • Interface with customer Technical Authorities and third party technical representatives on any areas relating to Blasting/Painting.
  • Maintains links with relevant external/professional bodies in Blasting/Painting identifying and implementing best practice.
  • Supply technical advise on Blasting/Painting issue to project and tender teams.

 

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • NACE or ICORR
  • SAP
  • Read Drawings/ISO’s
  • Computer literate in all MS Office Software
  • Coatings background
  • Coatings Inspection
  • Surveying
  • Managing offshore activities
  • Offshore experience
  • Productivity tracking

  • High standard of presentation and presentation skills
