Recruiting - Bilfinger Salamis UK are actively pipelining applications for 2020, by accepting applications for offshore insulators. Candidates must be time served thermal insulation engineers, competent in all aspects of the discipline including sheet metal fabrication and installation, cryogenic work, and non-metallic cladding systems such as Fibaclad ,ULVA Shield, Terostat Coated Foamglas.




  • Ability to demonstrate that they embrace all Safe Working Practices for both client and Bilfinger Salamis.
  • Ability to read P&ID, isometric & schematic drawings would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in an integrated multi discipline team environment
  • Ability to provide survey report forms to line managers would be beneficial
  • Ability to understand client’s insulations specifications.
  • Ability to understand manufacturers’ data sheets.
  • Undertake Permit to Work training courses as required






  • CA EBS
  • OGUK Medical
  • Competent and trained in all aspects of Thermal Insulation
  • Knowledge and understanding of hot, cold & acoustics materials, application of insulation & non-metallic cladding materials & fabrication & application of sheet metal
  • Manufacturers material specific training card(s) would be advantageous
  • Offshore experience is desirable but not essential
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Apprenticeship (or equivalent) qualified
