Trainee Engineer – Instrumentation (UAE National)

Job Title: Trainee Engineer – Instrumentation (UAE National)

Reports To: Lead Instrument Engineer / Engineering Manager

Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic UAE National graduate to join our Engineering team as a Trainee Engineer – Instrumentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical and professional skills through structured training, mentoring, and hands-on project exposure within the Engineering Consultancy and Oil & Gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured graduate development program.
• Assist senior engineers in the preparation of engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
• Support the development of instrument datasheets, specifications, instrument indexes, and I/O lists.
• Assist in reviewing vendor documents, technical submittals, and engineering drawings.
• Participate in engineering calculations, design activities, and project coordination meetings.
• Support site visits, inspections, commissioning, and testing activities as required.
• Learn and apply international engineering standards, company procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Project Management disciplines.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• UAE National with Family Book.
• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresh Graduate or up to 2 years of experience.
• Strong academic performance and passion for engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).

Preferred Competencies

• Basic understanding of instrumentation and control systems.
• Familiarity with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial automation concepts.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, P&IDs, and process systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
