Job Description
Junior Instrument Design Engineer (UAE National Fresh Graduate)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Industry: Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Instrument Design Engineer (UAE National) to join our Engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates who are passionate about Instrumentation & Control Engineering and wish to develop their careers within the Oil & Gas and Energy sector. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers and gain hands-on experience in the design, engineering, and execution of upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of instrumentation engineering deliverables for oil and gas projects.
- Support the development of instrument datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Participate in the preparation and review of:
- Instrument Index
- I/O Lists
- Hook-up Drawings
- Loop Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- Instrument Location Plans
- Cause & Effect Diagrams
- Control System Architecture Drawings
- Assist in selecting field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
- Support engineers in conducting engineering calculations and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Piping disciplines during project execution.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP workshops, and technical meetings as required.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.
- Maintain engineering documentation and project records.
- Support site visits, surveys, and commissioning activities when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience.
- UAE National with Family Book.
- Strong academic background and willingness to learn.
- Good understanding of instrumentation and control engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and practices is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic understanding of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of oil and gas processes and instrumentation principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical competencies.
