Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer with experience in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and Detailed Design for oil & gas projects. The role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering activities, ensuring project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Execution

• Manage and coordinate engineering activities across disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil/Structural).
• Ensure timely delivery of FEED and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, and budgets.

Technical Oversight

• Review and ensure quality of engineering deliverables including:
  • PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, and calculations
• Ensure compliance with international standards (API, ASME, IEC) and client specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during design stages.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key point of contact between client and internal engineering teams.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID workshops.
• Prepare progress reports and presentations for clients.

Design & Engineering Support

• Support development of FEED packages and transition into detailed design.
• Ensure proper integration of all engineering disciplines.
• Review vendor documents and coordinate with suppliers.

Quality, HSE & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and project quality plans.
• Promote HSE compliance during design and engineering phases.
• Support audits and ensure documentation is aligned with regulatory standards in Qatar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Civil / Electrical Engineering.
• PMP certification is an added advantage.

Experience

• 6–12 years of experience in oil & gas engineering consultancy.
• Strong experience in FEED and Detailed Design projects.
• Experience working on onshore/offshore projects is preferred.
• Prior GCC/Qatar project experience is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of engineering standards (API, ASME, ISO).
• Proficiency in engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS/E3D, SmartPlant).
• Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
