Main Purpose

The NDT Coordinator is responsible for presenting executable work scope from the fabrication partner to BUK GENCO PMO, supporting the fabrication partner with planning, scheduling, & coordination of the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities to ensure efficient execution of inspection services. The role focuses on reducing delivery times, maximising technician utilisation, improving client responsiveness, and ensuring all inspection activities are completed safely, compliantly, and within agreed deadlines.

The post holder will act as the central point of contact between the Fabrication partner and BUK GENCO PMO.  The Post holder shall manage the flow of data between the two, ensuring backlog and undeliverable work is reviewed and highlighted to the fabrication partner. The post holder shall ensure that only executable work is presented to Bilfinger UK.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate execution of NDT scopes.
• Attend planning meeting and ensuring NDT activities are defined within schedule
• Manage a small team of coordinates and develop as required
• Manage interface between Bilfinger and Fabrication partner
• Walkdown scopes of work with NDT teams to increase efficiency, identifying welds and ensuring   operational windows are available.
• Coordinate Enabling works with fabrication partner to ensure liquidation.
• Represent Bilfinger at planning meetings, raise awareness of BUK requirements, raising awareness of backlog and support the fabrication partner in resolution of blockers.
• Champion right first time methodology
• Hold fabrication partner to account for shortfalls
• Monitor, track and feedback on progress against defined plan.
• Produce priority list request based on project requirements for consideration by the client.
• Identify bottlenecks within planning, inspection and reporting processes.
• Support the implementation of digital workflows to improve operational efficiency.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Promote a strong safety culture across all NDT activities.
• Ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirements.
• Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation when required.
• Participate in safety meetings, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Reduction in last-minute resource conflicts.
• Improved client satisfaction scores.
• Monitor progress of backlog liquidation.

Experience & Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Inspection Industry
• Sound working knowledge of NDT and ANDT equipment it's use, application and maintenance 
• Radiation Protection Supervisor competence and Qualification (ARS) preferred not essential
• Awareness of NDT codes, standards and procedures
• Currently or previously held CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
• Experienced collaborator
• Ability to Influence others
• Excellent interpersonal skills, active listener and ability to provide coaching and support
