Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma (Engineering or Business Administration preferred)
Job Summary
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, controlling, and maintaining all engineering and project documentation for Oil & Gas FEED and Detailed Design consultancy projects. The role ensures accurate document registration, version control, distribution, and compliance with client, project, and company document control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Document Control & Management

Establish and maintain Document Control systems for FEED and Detailed Design projects.

Register, track, and control engineering deliverables, including drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, and vendor documents.

Ensure correct document numbering, revision control, and status updates as per project procedures.

Maintain Master Document Registers (MDR) and transmittal logs.
Engineering & Vendor Documentation

Manage receipt, review, and distribution of engineering and vendor documents.

Issue documents to clients, PMC, and third parties via electronic document management systems (EDMS).

Track document review cycles and follow up with disciplines for timely responses.

Ensure proper archiving of as-built and final project documents.
Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, and HSE disciplines.

Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, Clients, PMC, and Vendors on document-related matters.

Support project teams during audits, design reviews, and handover stages.
Compliance & Quality

Ensure compliance with project-specific Document Control Procedures (DCP) and client standards.

Support ISO 9001 quality audits and document traceability.

Maintain confidentiality and data security of project information.
Required Skills & Competencies
-
Strong experience in Oil & Gas engineering consultancy document control.

Good understanding of FEED and Detailed Design engineering deliverables.
-
Hands-on experience with EDMS / DMS platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum, or similar.

Strong knowledge of document numbering systems, transmittals, and MDRs.
-
Excellent coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience on Saudi Aramco projects or major Middle East Oil & Gas clients.

Prior work experience in KSA is preferred.
-
Consultancy or PMC background (not construction-only).

Experience handling multi-discipline engineering documentation.

Familiarity with Aramco / ADNOC / Shell documentation standards.
