Job Description – Electrical Design Engineer (FEED & Detailed Design)

Experience: 8–10 Years
Location: Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Industry: Engineering Consultancy / Oil & Gas / Industrial Projects

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong FEED and Detailed Design background from an engineering consultancy environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering complete electrical engineering design packages in compliance with Saudi Aramco / international standards for oil & gas and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare FEED and Detailed Design deliverables for electrical systems

• Develop single line diagrams (SLD), load lists, cable schedules, and wiring diagrams

• Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit, voltage drop, and cable sizing calculations

• Design LV/MV power distribution systems, lighting, earthing & lightning protection systems

• Prepare equipment specifications, data sheets, and material requisitions

• Review vendor drawings, technical bids, and conduct technical evaluations

• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and Saudi Aramco / SEC standards

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil)

• Support HAZOP, design reviews, and client/authority comments resolution

• Assist during construction, installation, and commissioning support if required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

• 8–10 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy

• Strong exposure to FEED & Detailed Design projects

• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Industrial projects

• Familiar with Saudi Aramco / SEC / SABIC standards (preferred)

• Proficiency in ETAP / EPLAN / AutoCAD (mandatory)

• Good knowledge of electrical design software and calculation tools

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on Middle East projects, especially KSA

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple design packages

• Strong technical documentation and coordination skills

• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
