Job Description – Piping Design Engineer (FEED & Detailed Design)

Experience: 8–10 Years
Location: Saudi Arabia (KSA)
Industry: Engineering Consultancy / Oil & Gas / Industrial Projects

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Piping Design Engineer with a strong FEED and Detailed Design background from an engineering consultancy environment. The role involves delivering complete piping design packages for oil & gas and industrial projects in compliance with Saudi Aramco and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute FEED and Detailed Design activities for piping systems

• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, piping layouts, and 3D models

• Prepare plot plans, piping GA drawings, isometrics, and piping details

• Perform line sizing, material selection, and piping specification development

• Conduct piping flexibility / stress analysis (supporting stress engineers if applicable)

• Coordinate pipe support design and review support details

• Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) and piping deliverables

• Review vendor drawings and technical documents

• Ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, API, and Saudi Aramco standards

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Process, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation)

• Support model reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews

• Assist during construction, site queries, and commissioning support

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Piping Engineering

• 8–10 years of experience in engineering consultancy

• Strong exposure to FEED & Detailed Design projects

• Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Industrial projects

• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco / SABIC standards (preferred)

• Proficiency in PDMS / SP3D / E3D / AutoCAD

• Working knowledge of piping codes (ASME B31 series)

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience on KSA or Middle East projects

• Strong coordination and interface management skills

• Ability to handle multiple design packages independently

• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
