Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)
- Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Client’s Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) in alignment with corporate policies and international standards.
- Develop, update, and quality‑assure 90+ Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for functions supporting onshore gas supply operations, offshore production platforms, logistics, engineering, IT/OT, HSE, and commercial units.
- Work closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, IT/OT, Asset Integrity, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity strategies align with technical realities and operational constraints.
- Integrate continuity requirements into operational readiness, asset management, and major project development workflows.
- Support the alignment and integration of BCM activities with Client’s Crisis Management and Emergency Response structures.
- Review continuity risks, vulnerabilities, and single‑point‑of‑failure exposures within critical assets and develop mitigation recommendations.
- Play a key role in vendor and supplier continuity assessments, ensuring essential third‑party dependencies meet BCM expectations.
- Produce BCM dashboards, audit evidence, KPIs, progress reports, and governance documentation for management and executive review.
Key Skills and Accountabilities
- Strong technical understanding of oil & gas upstream and midstream operations, including offshore production systems, pipeline operations, gas supply networks, control room operations, and associated engineering processes.
- Ability to translate technical operational processes into structured continuity plans and recovery strategies.
- Solid understanding of asset management principles, operational readiness frameworks, and operational excellence methodologies.
- Competency in applying ISO 22301, NCEMA 7000, and other BCM standards in high‑risk, high‑availability environments.
- Ability to assess and document processes, dependencies, and recovery procedures for operationally critical facilities and technical systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially in operational risk and technical dependency mapping.
- Excellent written communication skills for developing comprehensive continuity plans and technical documentation.
- Capable of working with technical SMEs, control room teams, offshore supervisors, engineers, and IT/OT personnel.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Petroleum, or similar), Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification preferred:
- CBCP, MBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, NCEMA certification, or equivalent.
- Additional qualifications in asset management (IAM), operational excellence, or project management (PMP) considered an advantage.
Experience Profile:
- 10+ years of proven experience in Business Continuity, Operational Risk, or Resilience roles, preferably within oil & gas upstream, midstream, or petrochemical sectors.
- Hands‑on experience executing BCM frameworks in technically complex operational environments.
- Strong exposure to offshore platforms, gas supply operations, pipeline integrity, control room operations, and maintenance environments.
- Experience engaging with multi‑disciplinary technical teams: operations, engineering, asset integrity, drilling, marine, IT/OT, HSE.
- Familiarity with OT/ICS systems, SCADA, DCS/ESD, and other operations‑critical control environments is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in asset lifecycle management, operational readiness, commissioning, or operational excellence programs preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to visit offshore platforms as needed for assessments, workshops, and plan validation (as per company HSE requirements).
- Ability to participate in emergency response or crisis management activities as required.
- Willingness to work outside normal hours during exercises, critical recovery activities, or project deadlines.
- Strong safety mindset aligned with Client’s operational culture and regulatory expectations.
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity when managing sensitive operational information.
