The Role and Responsibilities
• Protection and preservation of stock and goods receipting material on SAP.
• Receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality of goods.
• Organising and storing inventory in designated locations, maintaining order and accessibility.
• Updating stock records using inventory management systems or manual logs.
• Issuing materials and supplies to internal departments as requested.
• Monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of low or surplus items.
• Conducting regular stock checks and assisting with audits and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the storage area, complying with health and safety regulations.
• Assisting with returns and disposals of damaged or obsolete stock
• Assist in the implementation of the BUK Quality Assurance, Environmental Management System, abide and promote its Policies and Procedures.
• Willingness to assist with general workshop duties when Stores activities allow.
• Supporting procurement and logistics teams with inventory related tasks.
Skills & Experience
• Experience of work in a Stores environment, ideally within an Engineering company.
• Forklift Truck license (training will be provided if required)
• Basic IT skills such as Microsoft, Word, Excel would be beneficial.
• Experience of using SAP would be beneficial but not essential – training will be provided.
• Ability to take ownership, be passionate and take pride in your work.
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
