As the Offsite Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and supply and storage of materials in support of the project’s construction activities, logistical movements between off site storage and the construction site in line with the construction schedule.
You will be site based in the PUMA project warehouse on King George Dock, with visits to site to scope out planned work.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a large-scale mechanical project, ensuring the supply of materials as and when required.
Duties
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics management within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and warehouse operations.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and managing inbound and outbound logistics activities.
- Ability to oversee transportation, distribution, and delivery schedules to ensure efficient movement of goods.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and logistics software.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse and logistics teams.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within warehouse operations.
- Ability to analyse operational data, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers and transport partners.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple operational activities simultaneously.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency, service levels, and operational performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience material management, logistics and stores
- Good communication skills required
- Good interpersonal skills required as part of a large project team
- Suitable IT skills – MS Office
- Self motivated to achieve client deadlines
- Awareness / use of SAP
