Bilfinger is currently seeking Mechanical Foreman

 

Position Summary:

 

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in lay out, fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintaining of machinery, conveyors, and other equipment.  Ensures correct alignment and tolerances, using precision measurement instruments. Carries out repairs and maintenance of machinery. This position requires the following essential duties and responsibilities. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Must have the experience, qualifications and capability to be able to perform the duties/responsibilities/requirements as outlined of the mechanical craft being supervised.
  • Safety is a priority; employee must understand construction risks and bring them to the attention of their supervisor.
  • Installation, maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment and facilities.
  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Assists in planning shutdowns and major equipment turnarounds.
  • Strict adherence and support of the safety protocols & good housekeeping.
  • Seek Continuous Improvement: improve reliability of equipment/process, improve safety, improve maintainability, reduce cost, etc.
  • Maintain / Update job completion records.
  • Perform technical investigation & Root Cause Analysis.
  • Interact closely with the planning team and ensure smooth operation.
  • Request for external material and services as needed.
  • Ensure expected KPIs of team are achieved.
  • Responsible for emergency call-outs.

 

Requirements:

 

  • NCCER Foreman certification is preferred.
  • Min 6 years of millwright experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED and completion or craft apprenticeship.
  • Quality minded, positive team player, safety conscious and production focused.
  • Have basic math, reading, writing and computer skills.
  • Possess a working knowledge of machine alignment.
  • Must be able to assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than six feet off the ground.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment (face-shield, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, safety harness, etc.).
