Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc. known as a leading provider of complex, comprehensive industrial services is seeking an Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our Kansas City location. This position requires a self-motivated individual to verify and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Receives and coordinates unload and storage of all Bilfinger purchased materials
- Handle all material returns and site shipping needs
- Maintains tracking mechanism (MRR Log) for the location and transfer of all materials by purchase order #, demonstrates chain of custody on all stored materials
- Processes requests to pull materials from storage for transfer into the field
- Enters receivers in CCP to ensure real-time traceability for interested parties
- Requisitions material in CCP as required by the demands of the site.
- Cross train with buyer on Purchasing activities
- Provide insight and recommendations to Commercial Manager on any areas of improvement in the receiving and warehouse operations.
- Support construction with timely and accurate information and service.
- Maintain the site consumable inventory, responsible for the procurement and distribution of commonly used consumables. (Small hand tools, Personal Protective Equipment, Seasonal PPE)
- Maintain the site rental equipment log and work with the site buyer to obtain and release rental equipment
- Works in coordination with the Site Manager or Superintendent to ensure proper inspection and departure of rental equipment. (Photographing and Tagging)
- Maintenance and repair of site owned tools/equipment and perform required safety inspections.
- Will develop and execute tracking and security procedures for all site owned tools, inventory and equipment.
- Will be responsible for maintaining completeness and accuracy in the Asset Panda system
- Conduct site tool inventory audits as required
- Will oversee and perform as needed, receiving and tracking procedures for the Warehouse, including but not limited to, Asset Tagging, SAP, Notifications, and Supplier research
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have a H.S. Diploma, with 2 to 3 years of Industrial Construction experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Asset Tracking & SAP is required.
- Mechanic Skills desirable particularly small mobile equipment (Forklift, Golf Carts & Aerial Lifts Equipment)
- Forklift Training preferred.
- OSHA 10 & 30 Training preferred.
- Collaboration and team building skills.
- Problem solving & negotiating skills.
