HSEQ Manager I - National (remote)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field highly desired
• 6+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
• Ability to manage all resources, to include operations support staff, vendors, subcontractors, time, and more, as well as, prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines and successfully deliver high quality projects
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods
• Thorough understanding of principles, methods, and techniques of architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise and professional presentation of information
• Experience in safety inspections and implementation and management of safety and accident prevention plans
• Desired certifications: Red Cross CPR/First Aid Instructor, OSHA Outreach Instructor, United States Army Corps. of Engineers Construction Quality Management

 

Scope of Responsibility:
Primary responsibility for providing overall day-to-day safety supervision and coordination for multiple job site operations. Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors and Centennial personnel and providing safety checks. Primary responsibility for overseeing and administering site Safety, Health, and Substance Abuse Program.

 

Position Duties:
• Supervise and coordinate tasks with Project Safety Officers
• Supervise subcontractors and job site operations ensuring projects are in accordance with Centennial's Accident Prevention Plan and Safety Program
• Implement and administer site Safety, Health and Substance Abuse Program to ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel on job sites
• Work with Corporate Safety Director to update safety requirements and provide training for site personnel

• Monitor all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements in noise and dust control,
non-interruption of Government activities, and utility shutdown procedures
• Provide job site safety checks to ensure adherence to Accident Prevention Plans
• Prepare and submit accurate, detailed, written safety reports
• Train project personnel to comply with proper safety procedures and methods
• Maintain communication with Corporate Safety Director and Project Safety Officers to insure proper coordination of safety inspections and activities
• Responsible for driving between project sites that are often miles apart or miles from the assigned office location.

• Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Performance of the required job duties will be in an office environment along with visits to sites that are under construction which may include various weather conditions.
