Bilfinger Tebodin Ukraine CFI is looking for Lead Process Piping Engineer for any of our offices in Ukraine (Kyiv and Lviv).

What is the job?

Coordinating and managing mono- (or multi)disciplinary engineering work in accordance with laws and regulations, the requirements set out in the project plan or the assignment regarding the budget, planning, safety, and quality, client requirements, and the QOHSE guidelines, to realise a design for work in the next phase of the project.

 

We expect:

    • Higher Vocational Education/University in mechanical engineering or process engineering
      • 5  years of experience in industrial EPCM projects, particularly in a design phase, international experience is a plus
    • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards – Ukrainian and international
    • Familiar with AutoCAD and 3D software design tools such as Plant 3D, AVEVA PDMS/E3D, Navisworks
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office.
    • Proficient with Caesar II pipe stress analysis as a bonus
    • Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients
    • Good writing, organization, and communication skills
    • Possess knowledge of mechanical engineering, piping system design and be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices
  • English — intermediate strong (reading, writing, speaking on technical topics should be free level).

Duties and responsibility:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate piping team, design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects.
  • Prepare and review of calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to pipe routing and layout, stress analyses
  • Review vendor documentation within the Piping discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
  • Verification of client specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including man-hours forecasts
  • Develop project scopes, assist in proposal writing, writing technical reports, performing engineering studies
  • Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
  • Perform site visits for gathering essential initial data for new or renovation work. Prepare site visit reports, meetings with all stakeholders
  • The Lead Engineer has final responsibility for the quality of the work, mainly regarding piping discipline, and initiates, monitors, and supervises the implementation of quality procedures, in accordance with laws and regulations, customer requirements, and the project plan or the contract and the scope. This to meet all the quality standards and/or requirements the design must meet
