Civil & Structural Engineer  
Bilfinger Tebodin Middle East (Bahrain)  

Responsibilities: 
• Reporting to the Lead Engineer, responsible for Civil & Structural (C&S) engineering and design in multi-discipline Engineering / EPCM / EPC projects. 
• Execute projects across full lifecycle including concept, FEED, detailed engineering, and construction support for both greenfield and brownfield developments. 
• Deliver structural designs for Oil & Gas, Industrial, Infrastructure, Buildings, Water & Wastewater, Chemical and Petrochemical facilities. 
• Perform design and analysis of: 
o Steel and PEB structures including platforms, pipe racks, shelters, and industrial buildings. 
o Reinforced concrete structures including foundations, equipment foundations, pipe support pedestals, and underground structures. 
o Water retaining and liquid retaining structures such as tanks, sumps, pits, and elevated water storage structures. 
o Infrastructure works including roads, drainage systems, culverts, and utility structures. 
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, technical specifications, scopes of work, and construction drawings. 
• Ensure compliance with international design codes, project specifications, and client standards. 
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams including Mechanical, Piping, Process, and E&I. 
• Support the Lead Engineer in managing design deliverables, schedule, and budget requirements. 
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, constructability reviews, and technical discussions with 
clients and vendors. 
• Ensure quality, safety, and constructability are incorporated in all design deliverables. 
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. 

Education and Experience: 
• Previous experience as a Civil & Structural Engineer in single and multi-discipline projects within Engineering / EPCM / EPC organizations, preferably in Oil & Gas, Industrial, Infrastructure, or related sectors. 
• Strong technical knowledge of Civil and Structural engineering principles, analysis, and design. 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (BEng / MEng) or equivalent qualification (HNC / HND) in Civil or Structural Engineering. 
• Due to the diversity of projects, both experienced and developing engineers with relevant industry exposure will be considered. 
• Experience in preparation of civil and structural engineering deliverables including specifications, scopes of work, design calculations, drawings, and schedules. 
• Working knowledge of applicable international design codes and industry standards. 
• Proficiency in C&S design software including AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, STAAD Pro, Ram Connections, RCDC, Prokon, Advanced Staad Foundation, Tedds, and Microsoft Office applications. 
• Ability to plan and organize engineering activities in coordination with the Lead Engineer, with clear understanding of interdisciplinary dependencies between Civil & Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Process, and EC&I disciplines. 
• Demonstrates a strong quality-driven approach with a “right-first-time” design mindset. 
• Basic project management awareness and understanding of commercial and business aspects of engineering projects. 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the same stream.
