Role Overview
Manage and drive the global development of the Shared Services domain People with a focus on implementation and efficient execution of standardization, performance management, process automation and integration of tasks.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities:
- The Director Group SSO People (“Tower Lead”) is accountable for the end-to-end (E2E) delivery of services within the Shared Services domain People. He/She ensures that the standardization, performance management, automation and integration of People tasks is being globally implemented and operates efficiently
- He / She aligns with and interacts closely with the Group Functions People as well as with the Global Process Owner and Process Lead
- He / She ensures that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are put in place and will be met, as well as continuously innovates to support the segments to optimize costs further and improve the user experience for the internal customers (legal entities, group functions, etc.)
- Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for the Shared Services Tower People that aligns with the overall Group Function and Shared Services global strategy
- Service Delivery: Ensure that tasks are completed on time and with high quality (maintaining "green" dashboards); implement continuous improvement / Lean / six sigma across the tower to streamline workflows
- Performance Management: Define and monitor key metrics for a globally aligned performance measurement of the People tasks as well as continuously drive measures to further enhance the quality, where required
- Process and Product Standardization: Implement and drive a global Standard Shared Services process as well as a standard product portfolio for the Shared Services
- Digitalization/Automation: In close alignment with the Shared Services automation team(s), identify automation potentials, implement automation tools and reduce manual work, wherever possible
- Transition Management: Oversee the integration of new scope, e.g., from the legal entities, or newly acquired companies into the tower
- Talent & People Management: Identify future skill needs and upskill the team. Maintain high engagement levels in a time critical and high-pressure environment to prevent turnover. Develop next tier of leadership (Delivery Managers and Team Leads)
- Oversee the entire Shared Services People process lifecycle, accountability for "First-Time Right" results as well as ensure adherence to group policies and ICS to mitigate risk
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Degree in business administration and/or MBA, university degree
- Service Delivery & Process Excellence
- Deep understanding of end-to-end processes (HR, Finance, Procurement)
- Proven track record of improving efficiency, cost optimization, and service quality
- Strong knowledge of SLA management, KPIs, and governance
- Operational Leadership
- Ability to run large, multicultural, cross-functional teams
- Workforce planning, scheduling, and workload balancing
- Strong people leadership: coaching, motivating, and performance management
