Location: Middlesbrough

As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing and inspecting electrical equipment in hazardous areas. All work will be completed in line with 
CompEx EX01-04 and adhere to Bilfinger and client Quality Assurance procedures. 
Main responsibilities will be: 

• Ability to read and understand schematic and termination diagrams 
• Experience installing hazardous area equipment 
• Use of electronic tablets to preform detailed hazardous area inspections 
• Installation of various cable types (SWA, SWB, YY and trace heating) 
• Installation of unisturt and cable tray 
• Able to carry out dead tests and complete test sheets accurately 
• Able to carry out ITR’s using electronic tablets 
• Able to red line a drawing with as built installations 
• Follow site procedures and policies 
• Participation in daily briefings, point of work risk assessments and safe isolation procedures. 
• Ensure that quality and safety issues are reported to your supervisor 
• Switching Authorisation Status once relevant training and assessment complete

• Experience 
• Experience of work on top tier COMAH sites (2+ years desirable) 
• Electrical installation (5+ years desirable) 
• Hazardous area experience including detailed inspections on an electronic tablet 
• Testing and inspection 
• Use of Hawke 501/453/U glands 

•  Qualifications 
• CCNSG Site safety passport (required) 
• Completed NVQ L3 or equivalent (required) 
• Completed L3 technical certificate, C&G 2330 or equivalent (required) 
• CompEx EX01-04 (required) 
• 18th Edition (required) 
• PASMA (Desirable) 
• IPAF (Desirable) 
• Testing and inspection, C&G 2391 or equivalent (Desirable)
