What will you be doing?
As an Expert Compensation & Benefits, you will be the driving force behind the overall reward strategy within Bilfinger BeNe. You will operate at a strategic level, translating global frameworks into a future-proof and competitive reward approach tailored to an organisation undergoing transformation and growth.
You will play a key role in strategic topics such as the harmonisation of terms and conditions, integration of reward structures, and further professionalisation of compensation & benefits within a complex, international matrix organisation.
This role requires a tactical mindset, a high degree of independence, and the ability to translate business objectives into effective action.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and drive the C&B strategy for the Netherlands and Belgium
- Advise and challenge HR leadership and senior management on reward-related topics
- Lead the harmonisation and integration of compensation & benefits.
- Take end-to-end ownership of the annual salary review and bonus cycle
- Further develop the job architecture and grading framework (including Hay methodology)
- Translate global policies into locally competitive and compliant practices
- Initiate and lead C&B projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Analyse market data and trends, translating insights into strategic decision-making
- Act as a trusted sparring partner for Finance, HR and international stakeholders
- Coach and support HR colleagues and Shared Service Centre on C&B topics
What do you bring?
You are a credible and influential partner who looks beyond the numbers. You combine strong analytical skills with a clear strategic vision and the ability to lead through change.
- Bachelor of Master’s degree (e.g. HR, Business Administration, Finance or Economics)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Compensation & Benefits
- Experience within an international / matrix environment
- Proven track record in strategic C&B projects and transformations
- Strong knowledge of job grading frameworks (Hay) and reward structures
- Excellent stakeholder management skills at senior and executive level
- Strong working knowledge of Dutch employment legislation, collective labour agreements and relevant C&B-related legal frameworks, with the ability to translate this into compliant and practical reward solutions
- Fluent in English
- Proactive, persuasive, analytical, and able to create impact
