Key Responsibilities
- Design integration: manage multi-discipline coordination and clash/interface resolution.
- Information management: ensure design information is controlled, current, and issued correctly.
- CDM;
- Coordinate design risk management & CDM compliance.
- Chair CDM meetings
- Maintain, update, and issue the CDM Risk Register.
- Ensure design risk assessments are completed and recorded.
- Ensure residual risks are clearly communicated in drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate permanent and temporary works interfaces to avoid unsafe sequencing.
- Support collation of information for the Health & Safety File.
- Requirements compliance: ensure designs align with client requirements, standards, contract documentation, and legislation.
- Liaise with clients Design Coordinator
- Stakeholder and client coordination: structured management of technical communication, reporting, meetings, and registers.
- Attend progress meetings – both internal and external
- Coordinate and review G/35 Design Pack submissions
- Maintain, update, and issue the Stakeholder & Design Activity Schedule.
- Co-ordinate Design Reviews, FPSA Meetings, Constructability and Operability/Maintenance reviews.
- Coordinate document review comments, technical responses, and formal close-out.
- Coordinate and manage RFIs, TQs, and design deviations
- Readiness for procurement and construction: coordinate technical queries, specifications, vendor data, and technical submittals.
- Support Site teams by responding to TQ’s and addressing design changes
- Handover quality: support O&M readiness and as-built / record information completeness.
Qualifications & Experience

Technical / Delivery
- 10 years experience in multi-discipline projects, in an EPCM / EPC company
- Strong understanding of design stages and construction sequencing
- Multi-discipline coordination capability
- Understanding of the current British and European Standards
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Safety & Regulation
- Excellent CDM knowledge and design risk management
- Desirable - Have acted as named Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations
- Desirable - Knowledge of NGT G/35 Design Change Process
- Experience of working with UK Gas Transmission (desirable) and Distribution Standards and Specifications for all disciplines, specifically focused around compressor stations or another similar highly regulated industry
