Project Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Bucharest

Objective of the job

 

The major task of the Design Project Manager is to manage execution of multidisciplinary design projects which will include following design disciplines: architectural, structural, building services, electrical, permitting, procurement and cost control. The position is subordinated to the Engineering Business Unit Manager.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • to take responsibility for the execution of the project in accordance with the contract
  • to complete, correct and timely flow of information to all stakeholders (client, LDE’s, others)
  • to take responsibility for executing projects with regard to acquisition, design, purchasing and implementation
  • to meet requirements set out in the project plan or commission with regard to budget, planning, safety and quality and taking account of client demands
  • to achieve the project’s objectives, deadlines and optimize its financial result.
  • to take responsibility for project organization and staffing, in order to assure quality, costs and deadlines and optimize the contribution of each discipline
  • to manage the execution of the project, in accordance with the project plan, with regard to design, purchasing and implementation, taking account of the contractual agreements, planning, budget and quality demands
  • to initiate, check and supervise the application of quality procedures by the project team, in accordance with legislation and regulations, client demands, internal quality system policy and the rules in the internals manuals and the project plan
  • to monitor the number of hours worked and the investment costs for the realization of the project, as well as settle issues related to additional or less work, taking account of the available time and budget for the project team and project implementation
  • to initiate and coordinate meetings and discussions with the project team and the client, prepare regular reports to the management team or the client
  • to defend changes with regard to progress, budget and planning, taking account of the wishes and needs of all parties involved, in order to provide an upto-date insight into the planned and completed activities within the project
  • to contribute to the drafting of quotations, maintain contacts with existing clients and develop contacts with new clients, in cooperation and consultation with the BU Manager and/or a management team member and within Tebodin’s strategy, in order to detect opportunities, acquire new commissions, replenish the order portfolio and extend Tebodin’s reputation.
  • to initiate design reviews also with regard to safety for construction and operation and follows up the corrective measures
  • to maintain the optimum coordination of the engineering activities of the disciplines involved in the project
  • willingness to travel intern and abroad if needed, less than 50%

 

 

 

Necessary experience and knowledge:

 

  • bachelor degree or Master of Science diploma in Engineering;
  • relevant experience in managing project in the Industrial, at engineering (design) stage;
  • min 3 years relevant experience in design
  • min 35 years relevant experience in acting as Project Manager in Design projects
  • knowledge of most of the concepts, practices and procedures in Industrial;
  • to be familiar with discipline Romanian and International standards;
  • good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word) and Primavera
  • fluent written and spoken English
