Job Description:

The primary role involves taking software commissioning responsibility and successfully delivering the technical solution to the agreed scope in accordance with the company standards processes and procedures whilst also meeting budgetary and time-scale targets. The person should be pro-active and strive for high quality as standard. This role involves very frequent travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for delivery to the Customer of the Software as per its design
• Ongoing, proactive coordination with the Engineering team and all relevant stakeholders
• Able to complete tasks independently with no supervision
• Responsible for meeting the technical and quality requirements of project
• Ensure project adherence to company quality processes and procedures
• Conduct audits of project commissioning documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Support the Project Control Manager in identifying and managing risks and issues
• Configure the software solution in TIA Portal – WinCC Advanced (develop- configure control and equipment modules, modular software design)
• Report on progress of all assigned site activities and report any changes – unplanned activities.
• Identify any deviations from agreed functionality or scope and notify Project Control manager – SW engineering team and Project Manager
• Develop & implement standard practices to ensure quality improvement and cost reduction.
• Undertake site surveys as required.
• Support outline design, upfront design studies and requirement definition for clients
• Undertake loop checking, cold and hot commissioning and finally SAT according to relevant quality plan processes and procedures.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, or related field

Highly effective communicator with clear and concise writing and presentation skills

High level of attention to detail

Experience of the full project life cycle from system specification through design, development, testing, and on-site commissioning is essential.

Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in software development configuration and programming with Siemens TIA portal and WinCC advanced engineering platforms.

Knowledge of Siemens products and prior experience working with Siemens S7-1500 series PLC.

Knowledge of OPC UA protocol, Profinet – Profisafe communication protocols

Experience with Safety PLC software in TIA portal.

Strong skills in MS-Office, including Outlook and Teams.

In addition, experience of some or all of the following is desirable:

• Network design and configuration
• Cyber Security
• Functional Safety
• ISA 88 standard.
