Instrument Technician

- Install, maintain and repair instrument equipment in accordance with established manufacturing standards, limits, fits, tolerances, procedures and guidelines
- Read and interpret complex P&ID’s as part of installation, maintenance and fault finding
- Assemble, install, maintenance, test and repair, diagnose faults and repair instrument and control systems
- Provide technical support to other trades and commissioning
- Apply and record approved isolations (Authorised)
- Follow plant policies and repair procedures
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and replace process instruments as a part of the plant's maintenance program
- Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments
- Perform required environmental compliance testing and documentation
- Reduce cost of repairing equipment while maintaining or increasing the quality of repairs
- Work closely with plant operations to evaluate both routine and emergency instrument work
- Ability to carry out testing and record on test sheets
- Ability to carry out ITR checks using electronic tablet
