The Role

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for managing construction planning and scheduling efforts,  cost analysis and project audits. The Project Controls Manager will serve as a liaison between the Executive  Management Team, Project Executives, and  Project Management. The Project Controls Manager will also  perform program operational and financial reviews as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 years’ project controls management experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor

  • Extensive field experience with knowledge of various construction and engineering means and methods.

  • Experience with construction estimation, scheduling, and cost control processes

  • Ability to interpret and perform analysis of cost and schedule reports and data

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting

  • Experience with schedule development and analysis, to include impact analysis

  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to:

    • Adapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment

    • Demonstrate integrity consistent with Centennial’s core values

    • Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and styles

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information

    • Adapt to the constantly evolving world of technology systems, such as Microsoft Office suite

    • Mentor and train team members

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field highly desired

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Project Management: Responsible for the management of the Project Control activities including scheduling,  budgeting,  estimating,  risk  assessment  and  management,  reporting,  contract administration and administrative services. Manage planning and scheduling activities including development of summary and detailed project schedules, progress and performance monitoring, schedule changes and workaround solutions; plans and manages the execution of project audits.

 

  • Financial Management: Perform regular project reviews and monitor the job cost report against key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify cost reduction strategies in schedule, quantities or contract specifications that align with project budget and design specification requirements. Assist with resource and cost loading to the schedule, including labor projections, equipment and material projections, and productivity trend reporting to accurately forecast project costs and project financial outcome. Assists project close out procedures and other duties as assigned.

 

  • Responsible for driving between project sites that are often miles apart or miles from the assigned office location.

  • Must be able to travel to Nationwide project sites 50% of the time.

 

  • Performance of the required job duties will be in an office environment along with visits to sites that are under construction which may include various weather conditions.

    • The ability to walk terrain and surfaces that may be far, uneven, or temporary

    • The ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear

    • The ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel.

    • The ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, or reach

    • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colovision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

 

The salary range for this position is $100,794.00 - $188,627.00.
