Instrument Technician (m/f/d)

Location: Norwich

Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures.

Team player who can also follow instructions from supervision.

Supervise, coach and support direct reports in a professional manner.

Complete all work in accordance with applicable SAP work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches

Demonstrate knowledge and skills to properly use oxyacetylene flame cutting equipment

Demonstrate ability to accurately perform field measurements and sketches

Recognize various materials used within fabrications and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques

Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of power tools appropriate for the job

Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.

Undertake appropriate Task Risk Assessments (RA) and tool box talks in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.

Execute duties as specified in the station/bill/emergency response procedures or as directed by the OIM.

Encourage good, open communication promoting involvement and participation and adherence to client values.

Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of crew, and areas of environment pertaining to their position.

Flexible to carry out additional platform duties.

Willingness to train for platform support activities such as coxswain, HDA, HLO and ERT.



4 Year Apprenticeship or Level 2 NVQ equivalent

City and Guilds (C&G) Instrumentation and Control and / or NVQ Level 3 in related trade

SBT 01

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in similar role

Experience of scheduling, organising, coordinating and controlling/monitoring work.

Experience in the control and use of “Safe Systems of Work” (PTW) including permit to work procedures.

Ability to manage risk

Be action orientated, results driven and able to inspire others.

Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally.
