Bilfinger are looking for 2x 3D & 1x 2D CAD Engineers to work within our existing team for an ongoing M&E package in a nuclear environment near Reading.

 

Main Responsibilities


•    Responsible for the production of 2D/3D drawings in line with programme and in strict adherence to customers specification and standards
•    Ensure project scope is satisfied efficiently and effectively
•    Review Issued design and process documents
•    Work alongside design engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose and identify design solutions
•    Work with clients and subcontractors on Peer to peer review of project drawings and documentation against specification requirements
•    Raise and manage Technical Queries through to completion
•    Help develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and suppliers, including the identification, assessment, and integration of new sub-contractors
•    Witnessing factory acceptance tests and projects sign off
•    Support programming of design activities
•    Issuing documentation to client and following through to ensure client acceptance within timeframes

 

 

Experience & Qualifications

 

Essential


•    Minimum of a Degree, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar
•    Must be eligible to obtain SC clearance
•    Strong organisational capabilities
•    Strong, demonstrable understanding of all phases of a project life cycle
•    Able to approach engineering challenges pragmatically and efficiently, working with electrical engineers to ensure the integrated design realises the operational requirements of the specification
•    Able to use 2D/3D drawing package, preferably AutoCAD
•    Able to interpret detailed technical specifications
•    Awareness of PLC’s and working knowledge of principles of electrical safety, such as the 18th Edition and BS EN 13849


Desirable


•    Experience from highly regulated industries
•    Experience within an ISO 9001 environment
•    Current SC Clearance
