Bilfinger is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial administration on a Portfolio of projects in the South Region for the Bilfinger business.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES

  1. Contract administration across multiple contracts and projects operating in Oil & Gas, Water and Life Sciences
  2. Range of contract scope includes M&E, SIP and EICA (candidate is expected to have experience in one of these areas not all)
  3. Support the P&L owners and operational teams with the following:-
    1. Maintain all required contract documentation
    2. Prepare, submit and manage through to approval Change Notices under the contracts
    3. Create and submit Payment applications, obtain acceptance ahead of invoicing
    4. Working with others/other departments to ensure contractual obligations are executed
    5. Preparing and reporting on Contract/Project Cost and Value Reports
  4. Report to the Region Commercial Manager the following:-
    1. Month end accounts (cost and value)
    2. Monthly forecast updates (cost and value)
    3. Cashflow monitoring and supporting the Finance department with cash collection when necessary
    4. Periodic reporting on key financial performance metrics
    5. Identifying margin improvement opportunities
    6. Cost and Value analysis as required – prelims, plant, equipment, materials, labour, subcontract

Strong background in dealing with commercial issues required

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Financial & Commercial experience of projects and/or term contracts are required in order to fulfil the requirements of this position
  • Experience in dealing with operational and project teams
  • M&E, SIP or EICA background
  • Experience working in any of following sectors - Oil & Gas, Water or Life Sciences
  • Extensive experience working within a contracting or customer commercial role (5+ years)
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Membership in a professional body e.g RICS (preferred)
