To ensure that quality control systems are established, communicated, applied and remain effective to provide ‘right first time’ products and services to satisfy business and customer expectations, ensuring quality, reliability and performance standards are maintained.
To support and manage necessary QC resources required to provide effective operational support to the organisation.
To provide support and guidance to operational areas in accordance with the approved Business Management System and support the application of the internal audit programme, ensuring continual improvement is effectively applied.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting implementation of internal/external quality requirements to ensure company products/services meet customer expectations
- Implementation and maintenance of quality control system policies, processes, procedures and specifications
- Liaison with operational and procurement functions with regards to material and product specification ensuring the required quality standards are met
- Ensuring appropriate control measures are applied in relation to quarantine of non-compliant material, products and equipment
- Focal point for fabrication and welding support to the BUK worksite teams
- Provision of support to the commercial tendering and bid process in relation to quality control and welding/fabrication requirements
- Support the delivery of the annual audit programme to ensure quality control standards are being adhered to
- To identify and report any deficiencies or urgent matters relating to quality compliance
- To ensure full utilisation of internal reporting systems to capture all quality related data, such as audit findings, non-conformities, observations, improvement opportunities
- Supports investigations and remedial actions for quality failures
- Ensure the required corrective action is identified and monitored for effective close out to address deficiencies, customer complaints and non-conformities
- Development of contractual and project related quality documentation, including quality management plans and inspection and test plans
- Establish processes for sampling, recording and reporting of quality data
- Oversee and support FAT’s and other associated quality control processes
- Monitoring compliance towards inspection and test plans to provide assurance of defined activities
- Support implementation of quality control strategy and continual improvement objectives
- Aid the realisation and delivery of quality control KPI’s, targets and objectives
- Ensuring the effective communication of quality control matters and continual improvement within the organisation
- Advising on compliance with applicable legislation, standards and industry best practice
- Support with identification and delivery of quality control related training as appropriate
- Presentation and delivery of quality control related performance data, statistical data and reports
- Maintains links with relevant external/professional bodies, identifying and implementing best practice and leading improvements to support business strategy
Experience & Qualifications
- 7 years experience in Process, Power or Oil and Gas Industry
- 7 years experience in quality control management, inspection and auditing
- IT literacy, innovation and pragmatism
- Degree educated or other equivalent recognised quality qualification
- Recognised Auditor Qualification
- Weld Inspection qualification(Desirable)
