The Role:

 

The Benefits and Wellness Coordinator plays a pivotal role in our HR team, focusing on the seamless administration of employee benefits programs and the implementation of impactful wellness initiatives. This position is instrumental in fostering a supportive workplace environment that prioritizes employee health, engagement, and overall well-being. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in benefits administration, proficiency in HRIS systems, and the ability to analyze data to optimize program effectiveness.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Assist Director of Human Resources in negotiating rates and working with benefits brokers during benefit plan renewals.
  • Review benefit offerings to ensure competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes, including communication, data management, and vendor relationships.
  • Administer leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to develop and implement wellness programs that support employee health and engagement.
  • Conduct regular assessments and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of benefits and wellness programs.
  • Assist with benefits budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes affecting benefits and wellness programs.
  • Ensure all benefits and wellness communications are clear, accurate, and aligned with company policies and values.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in HRIS software and MS Office Suite; experience with benefits administration platforms (e.g., Bswift, ADP) preferred.
  • Technical proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to analyze benefits metrics and trends.
  • Familiarity with wellness program management and health promotion strategies.
  • Certification in Benefits Administration (e.g., CEBS) is preferred.
